Icagen scientists can miniaturize a wide range of biochemical and cellular assays from 96- and 384-well formats to high-density, low volume 1536-well microplates. Smaller volumes directly translate to reductions in both the reagent cost and time, which also leads to improvement in handling time-sensitive data acquisition steps. For our customers, this means more assay points and more information can be obtained from limited or costly reagents while still maintaining quality of assay performance. Since adopting 1536-well format as our default screening preference in 2009, we have experienced over a 90% success rate in assay miniaturization attempts for both cell-based and biochemical screening employing a broad range of detection technologies.
